Coder Vendor Vetting

Do you use an offshore and/or domestic coding vendor to perform the coding activities for your hospital and/or physician group? We have a unique process to ensure transparency beyond a background check to ensure;

  • Who is performing your coding - are they currently AHIMA and/or AAPC certified?

  • How your vendor is monitoring and ensuring coder accuracy

  • How the coders are being continually educated on coding updates and HIPAA compliance

  • How the coding vendors coding tools, policies and procedures are current and in compliance with industry recognized coding guidelines

Does your coding vendor use your internal coding policies and procedures? If so, we have a process to ensure that the coding staff assigned to your hospital/physician group understand how to correctly apply your internal coding policies and procedures.

We can also monitor the quality of the coding performed on a daily, monthly, quarterly or annual basis to ensure that the accuracy rate of the coding staff assigned to your hospital/physician group meets the industry recognized standards.
